Reverend Brenda Ann Brown received her calling from God as a teenager and has faithfully served Massachusetts Avenue Baptist Church for over 30 years. She was ordained as Senior Pastor in April of 2015.
Rev. Brown serves as Executive Director of Project Manna, providing hot nutritious meals to those in need. Her ministry extends throughout Cambridge and surrounding communities as she promotes service, faith, and the advancement of God’s people.
Massachusetts Avenue Baptist Church was founded in 1890 when a small group of believers began what was then known as Mt. Olive Baptist Church. After several years, a new facility was built facing Massachusetts Avenue, and the church was renamed Massachusetts Avenue Baptist Church.
In 1923, our present facility was purchased at 146 Hampshire Street in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
MABC is affiliated with the American Baptist Churches, USA. We are an evangelical ministry committed to teaching and standing on the Word of God.
